POLVORÓN RACE

10th Polvorón Race

(or Torrija Race)

On Thursday we celebrated our 10th Polvorón Race (this year, Torrija Race ).

As usual, the strangest runners met for this charity event (1kg/1km). Gandalf didn't miss it either, although there are no Polvorón Races in the Middle Earth... 😉

We could also see a pirates ship full of buccaneers, some admirable grannies and grandpa, who could barely finish the race in spite of their afflictions, some body cells (we guess red blood cells), a lonely atom, angels and demons, a colourful Rubik's cube, some Victorian ladies, sunflower girls, clowns, a bizarre mixture of a weirdo and La Faraona... and several super heroes, who always enjoy themselves in such races.

In accordance with the date, just before Holy Week, The Team Torrijas were also with us, although it could be tough to taste some of them... 😁.

As a prelude for the Holy Week, we had the San Fernando Savater Brotherhood Float, under the leadership of the Major Brother and Sister?, which crossed the finish line with huge sacrifice of the carriers underneath and following the procession march.

And, to charge some batteries for the Zumba Session, the Parents' Association

gave us some tangerines 🍊🍊🍊, which are both healthy and refreshing:
